Balloons Across America is a project to bring the world of balloon art into towns and cities around the country.
I am traveling around a general perimeter of the country starting in Chicago. A bike may not be the fastest form of transportation, but it allows me to get to know terrain and locations far better than by car. I’m planning to initially ride an average of 40 miles a day.
A rough map for this trip is below. If you are in any of the cities, or along the route between those cities, please contact me! I’d be happy to make you a balloon in exchange for a meal or to give you a short lesson in how to twist your own balloon. I especially need families to host me. I’ll have complete camping gear and will be able to get by fine on a floor, in a garage, or even in a yard.
If you are business owner, school, daycare or individual who would like to have amazing balloons at your event, or just as decorations, you can hire me to provide that service. Being on the road is not going to change the high caliber of work that I create.
I’m also available to speak about the trip and about the joys of bike tourism. In addition, I am putting together a stage show for kids about bicycle safety and sharing the road. Please see “Book the Biker” for information on the many services that I offer.
Please follow my blog for updates, stories from the road and pictures of balloons in famous places. Also, you can sign up for my mailing list to have updates emailed to you. I’m also on Facebook and on Twitter.
To view my current location, I am using TrackMyTour to add waypoints that I visit. Here is my map:
